There’s news from the SINN! You already read in previous newsletters that our model network is very successful, that it engendered many great project and has many enthusiastic partners. Now, it is time for the next big step: SINN goes international!

This makes a lot of sense, as sports especially are an international matter, take for example football pros who are sold and play worldwide, the Olympic Games, or the fact that sporting goods are produced all over the world. SINNi will concentrate on one aspect of this huge area, which plays an increasing role worldwide: sports and health prevention, in short, Healthstyle.

Funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research, the SINN will thus be expanded and complemented by the SINNi, networking with interesting partners and regions worldwide who complement the existing partners’ competences. The principles are the same ones as in the original, which by the way will also continue on in its original form: There will be new partnerships and synergies, risks and needed resources will be minimized. Together, all SINNi partners can grow, unlock new markets, or even just learn from other networks.

The strong emphasis on human relations and personal contact proprietary to the original SINN will be exported worldwide and facilitate strong, friendly partnerships, which will in turn strengthen intercultural competences and specific knowledge regarding international markets.

One of several promising regions is for example China, one of the most important production sites worldwide, where cooperations offer great chances for growth to all SINNi partners. Thus, the SINNi has already taken a first step towards Asia by sending then network manager Anna Münzhuber to the ISPO Beijing. Her impressions can be read in this interview by ISPO. Anna is currently working on organizing the first network trip to ISPO Shanghai.

SINNi is still at the very beginning of its development, but as soon as our work bears fruit, we will of course tell you! If you have questions in the meantime, or want to offer suggestions: Carolin Strauer (cs@we dont want is looking forward to hearing from you!
