HISTORY

BACK TO THE FUTURE

In the summer of 2000, the Innovationsmanufaktur – for the first twelve years known as SportKreativWerkstatt – came into being as a unique mix of inspiration and transpiration, of disposition and motivation: The then vice president of the Munich University of Technology requested that an institution be created that intermediates between the university and the “outside world” and that sits exactly on the fence between the two.

Today, this central idea is still valid: The institution which developed intermediates between well-founded science and relevant practice and not only researches but generates innovations.
